The Belfast Temple Salvation Army Band concert on Saturday 24th March 2012 at 7.30pm in Belfast Temple, Cregagh Road, Belfast featuring James McCabe, principal cornet of the Fairey Band and Bill Caughey, compere. Kellswater Flute band would be keen to hear from any one who could loan them a set of timps. They would be interested it purchasing a set in the longer term. Please contact Andrew Gamble at 07784574108

The association have been contacted by a correspondent from the 'Mourne Observer' regarding an series of articles which they are planning to run over the autumn / winter period regarding the 'Lost bands of County Down'. These are bands which have now closed down but were previously active. They would like information and photographs on all types of bands,  - Silver, Flute, Pipe and Accordion who are no longer active.
